A close friend of Lucky Edohor, who died in an accident in Ilorin on Monday, has blamed pothole, and poor emergency response for her untimely demise.
Elohor, who was popularly known as digital creator, died at the age of 29 after succumbling to injuries from the crash.
Her family announced her death in a post shared on her official Instagram page on Tuesday.
Elohor, popularly known as Digital Creator Chic, built the GROW Network as an online community focused on career development and professional growth.
The platform mentored many young Nigerians, offering guidance on work, skills and personal development.
In the statement shared with the announcement, the family described her as “a light, full of purpose, grace, and an unwavering commitment to impacting lives”.
They also asked for privacy and prayers as they mourn, adding that burial arrangements would be communicated later.
“It is with profound sorrow that the family announces the passing of our beloved Lucky Elohor,” the statement reads.
“Elohor was a light, full of purpose, grace, and an unwavering commitment to impacting lives. She built with intention, loved deeply, and served selflessly through her work, her community, and her faith.
“Though our hearts are heavy, we are comforted by the assurance that she has gone to be with the Lord, and that her legacy will continue to live on through the many lives she touched.
“We ask for your prayers, love, and respect for the family during this time of mourning. Further details will be communicated in due course.”
Elohor died following a car accident in Ilorin, Kwara state capital.
According to her close friend, @Triciabiz, a pothole led to the accident that claimed her life while also blaming poor emergency response.
