A Rivers State High Court in Port Harcourt, the state capital, on Monday nullified the ward, local government, and state congresses of the Peoples Democratic Party conducted in 2024. The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has banned scavengers from operating in the territory. The Commissioner of Police in the FCT, Olatunji Disu, announced the ban while briefing journalists after the FCT Security Committee Meeting in Abuja on Monday. The Police Service Commission (PSC) on Monday took a decisive action against erring officers, dismissing and approving the prosecution of two Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASP) for misconduct, dishonesty, corruption, sabotage and acts unbecoming of public officers.
