The Oyo State Government has declared its full support for Davido’s upcoming ‘5ive Concert’ scheduled to hold on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at the historic Liberty Stadium in Ibadan.
Organisers of the concert confirmed that the state’s endorsement is aimed at boosting tourism and promoting Oyo as a leading entertainment hub in Southwest Nigeria.
The highly anticipated show has already ignited excitement across the city, with over 20,000 fans expected to attend the event. According to the organisers, the concert promises an unforgettable night of glitz, energy, and world-class performances from the Grammy-nominated Afrobeats superstar.
Davido, who has been on a nationwide tour with his ‘5ive Concert’, will perform some of his chart-topping hits while sharing the stage with top local talents such as Keanzo, Fabulous Pizzy, Dele Omo Woli, and Sade Blaq.
Speaking about the concert, the organisers said it goes beyond entertainment, noting that it serves as a platform to showcase Ibadan’s cultural vibrancy and creative potential.
“The involvement of the Oyo State Government underscores its growing commitment to supporting the creative industry as a tool for youth engagement and tourism development,” the statement added.
Meanwhile, hotels and hospitality spots across Ibadan are recording a surge in bookings as fans troop in from different parts of the region for the concert and its official after-party scheduled to hold at The Patio.
The ‘5ive Concert’ series has so far drawn massive crowds in Lagos and Port Harcourt, cementing Davido’s position as one of Africa’s most influential music figures.
