Popular gospel singer and pastor, Nathaniel Bassey, has opened up on how he was invited to Trump’s inaugural prayer breakfast.
Nathaniel Bassey shared this revelation during his ministration at Pastor Poju Oyemade’s World Faith Believers Convention (WOFBEC), a programme he attended as a guest minister.
It will be recalled that Nathaniel Bassey’s social media post about the invitation to minister at Trump’s Presidential Inaugural Prayer Breakfast in Washington, D.C., scheduled for 20 January 2025 was earlier reported.
According to Nathaniel Bassey, he received a call after a church service from an unknown person who identified herself as Reverend Turner.
She told him that the Spirit of the Lord had instructed her to invite him to the UK to release God’s glory upon the United States at Trump’s inaugural prayer breakfast.
Narrating how the call came about, Nathaniel recounted Reverend Turner’s words: “I was in prayer, and the Lord said to me to send for you to come and release the glory of God upon our nation.”
Over the years, Bassey has established himself as one of the prominent and most listened-to gospel ministers in Nigeria.
He attends The Redeemed Christian Church Of God, and pastors The Oasis Lagos, the youth church of the RCCG Kings Court in Victoria Island, Lagos.
