The Naira depreciated at the official market on Monday, trading at N1,495.60 to a dollar. Data from the FMDQ Security Exchange official forex trading platform revealed that the Naira lost N20.82. This represents a 1.4 per cent loss when compared to the previous trading day on Friday, Jan. 31, when the local currency closed trading at N1,474.78 to a dollar. The Zone 2 Police Command headquarters, Onikan, Lagos State, has confirmed the detention of an Investigating Police Officer (IPO) attached to Isheri-Oshun Division, for allegedly doctoring a case file and medical doctor’s report. The Ogun State Police Command on Tuesday, arraigned the suspended Olorile of Orile Ifo, Semiu Adewale Ogunjobi, for assaulting a 73-year-old man, Elder Abraham Areola. The police in Ondo State have confirmed the abduction of seven travellers on the Owo-Ipele-Benin Highway. Funmilayo Odunlami, the spokesperson for the command, confirmed the incident to journalists on Tuesday in Akure. “Seven people were abducted and investigation is ongoing.
